Check the obvious first

  • Is it enabled? A paused automation shows dimmed with its toggle off.
  • Was it auto-paused? An automation that finds nothing new for 14 days pauses itself and messages you. Flip the toggle to resume.
  • Is the destination alive? If the chat was deleted or the bot removed, the automation skips runs and notifies you until it's rewired.

Then run the preview

“Preview what this would pick” shows every candidate post with a reason: already posted, wrong content type, looks like an ad, duplicate, over budget, or a routing gap. A photo-only profile feeding a video template reads as “wrong content type” on every row, and that tells you what to change.

And remember what's normal

  • “The last run found nothing new to post” is often literally true: the source didn't post since yesterday.
  • News automations skip slow days (“No post”) rather than padding with weak stories, and the safety gate holds back sensitive ones for review.
  • Ads and previously-posted content are filtered silently. That's the ad filter and dedup doing their job.
