Report illegal content

Anyone can report content on Socialix that they believe is illegal. You do not need an account, and the form below reaches the same review queue our team works every day. This is our notice-and-action mechanism under Article 16 of the EU Digital Services Act.

1. Before you report

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We review reports as quickly as we can, but we are not an emergency service.

For copyright or trademark infringement, please use the copyright notice form instead. A valid copyright notice needs extra details, such as the work you hold rights to and your authority to act, and that form collects them.

2. What we need from you

A report is most useful when it tells us three things: exactly where the content is, what category of problem it falls under, and why you believe it is illegal. A precise link matters most, because it is what lets us find and assess the content quickly.

We normally need your name and an email address so we can confirm we received your report and tell you what we decided. There is one exception: you can report child sexual abuse material without identifying yourself.

3. What happens next

You will get a reference number straight away. If you gave us an email address, we will confirm receipt and, once we have reviewed the report, tell you what we decided and why. We may contact you first if we need more detail.

Depending on what we find, we may remove or restrict the content, warn, suspend or terminate the account responsible, and where the law requires it, report the matter to the competent authorities. We do not act automatically on a report alone: a person reviews every notice.

Reports submitted in bad faith, or repeatedly and without substance, may be deprioritised or refused.

4. Other ways to reach us

You can also write to [email protected]. Our points of contact under Articles 11 and 12 of the Digital Services Act, and the languages we accept, are listed in our Impressum.

5. Submit a report

Reporting a copyright or trademark infringement instead? Use the copyright notice form, which collects the extra details the law requires.

Be as exact as you can. A precise link is what lets us find and review it quickly.

We use this to confirm we received your report and to tell you what we decided.

Paste it. Brand it. Post it.
