The canvas editor is where fully custom templates live. Start blank or import a design, then build the exact layout you want. Every element you place is filled in per post when the template runs.
What you can place
- Media: a Video Source or Image Source (filled from the link you paste per post), or fixed video and image uploads that render the same every time.
- Text: Text Sources with fixed wording, wording typed fresh per post, or AI-written text.
- Shapes: rectangles, circles, lines, and gradients, plus your logo.
Control
A layers panel handles stacking, and the properties panel gives you position and size, opacity, fills and borders, corner radius, rotation, circle or rounded crops, and media fit (crop-to-fill, fit-inside, or stretch, with smart crop and a crop anchor). Undo/redo (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z) and zoom are on the top bar.
The Settings tab
Next to Design sits Settings, which controls how the template behaves when it posts: auto-generate an Instagram caption, route outputs to their own workspace topic, and offer the template for breaking-news posts.
Desktop only
Precise drag-and-drop doesn't work well on phones and tablets, so the editor needs a laptop-sized screen with a mouse or trackpad. Your templates are safe either way, and the rest of the app works everywhere.
